Swagbucks has become quite the money maker for me since starting this project.
You can earn enough to pay your monthly Netflix/Spotify subscriptions, mobile bill and still have some change left over.
So what is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is like a frequent flyer program except that you earn points from doing things like search, surveys, shopping online, redeeming offers and even playing games.
In which then you can redeem the points for cash or giftcards.
My Results
Since October 2018, I have made just over $800 with Swagbucks, through doing the following things
- Daily To Do List
- Daily Goals
- Surveys
- Discovery
- Referrals
- Watching Videos
- Playing games
I am currently averaging about 5000 SB a month which is equivalent to $50 USD.

Swagbucks Guide
In this guide I am going share all the different ways you can earn with Swagbucks and tips on how to maximize your earnings.
Note: Throughout the guide I will use SB, which is the Swagbucks name for their points.
Do Surveys
The best way to earn SB is to do surveys, where you can anything from 20-500 SB per survey. Out of all the different ways you can earn SB, surveys by far is my biggest earner.
There are three places where you can find surveys, the Gold Surveys, Peanuts Lab or if you look under the Discovery there are a number of partners who also offer surveys.
Tips
- I like to start with the highest paying SB and work my way down, as I found this to be the most time efficient for me.
- If you get rejected, don’t worry, I do too! Some days are better than others. I just come back the next day.
- Doing surveys are the best way to complete the daily goal and to do list.
Daily Poll
Answer the daily poll and earn 1SB each day. I know that is not much but if you do this every day for a year, you are looking at earning 365 SB.
Search
Use Swagbucks search function instead of Google. You can earn a few points here and there, but this is a bit random.
Shop and earn cashback
If you’re an online shopper, this one is for you. You can earn SB through cashback offers from various retailers, earning anything from 1%-10%.
To make it easy, you can install their Swagbucks Button and every time you visit a retailer it will automatically popup to tell you how much cashback you can receive.
Promotions
Keep a lookout for monthly promotions, in this section you can earn bonus points through various challenges, competition and recognition.

Discovery Offers
Swagbucks also partners with a variety of companies where you can earn SB points for signing up to offers.
Tips – On occasion you will see some companies offering double points offers –
Playing Games
You can earn points playing the games or for higher gaming offers check out the games under Discovery.
Simply follow the instructions, download / install and usually you have to reach a certain level before you are rewarded.
Daily To Do List
This is something I do religiously, where I go through each task and complete to earn ~10SB a day. There are 8 daily tasks to complete.
Daily Goal
Similar to the Daily To Do List except the Daily Goal you have to earn a certain amount of SB to earn your bonus points. There are two Daily goals.
I usually complete the first daily goal so I can earn the Winning Streak Bonus, which you can earn up to 300 bonus points every month. To create a winning streak, all you have to do is complete Goal 1 each day.
The bonus points are rewarded at the start of the next month, along with the streak bonus. Make sure you click on it to receive your points.
Watch Videos
You can earn a few SB from watching videos both from their website, apps and discovery partners.
Swagbucks LIVE Quiz
If you are a quiz aficionado then you can earn some decent points, I personally suck at it, only managing to earn a few SB.
To participate you have to download Swagbucks LIVE app on to your phone.
Swagbucks App
Use Swagbucks on the go and download the various Swagbucks Apps which is available for both Android and IOS.
With the app you can also earn through the various methods already discussed like surveys, videos and playing games where ever you are.
Referrals
This is perhaps my favourite ways of earning SB. Tell your friends and they join you can earn up to 300 bonus points and 10% of their lifetime earnings.

- Don’t spam, read there t&c about this
- Do share Swagbucks with your friends, family on email/social media

Redeem
The way Swagbucks payouts is through gift cards. They have a variety of giftcards from various online retailers but my favourite way is Paypal. They usually payout within a week of requesting.
If you are buying gift cards make sure you lookout for the discounted offers as you can my bang for your buck.
