I have been freelancing as a web developer on and off for the past ten years. I have used freelancing as a way to subsidise my income while I grew my other online businesses.
Freelancing has been both rewarding and frustrating.
Rewarding in that I could still maintain a good amount of freedom and independence, allowing me to take on work when I wanted, be location independent, charge a fair price and choose the hours I work.
But there has also been plenty of frustration from finding clients to on-boarding to getting paid.
However, as time progressed I slowly refined my freelancing business where I created systems and processes, created stricter contracts, productize my services and began qualifying my clients to make my life easier.
